If you haven’t explored the new image generation inside ChatGPT, you’re might be a bit late to the party ;)
OpenAI’s GPT-4o now lets you generate and edit images in seconds—right inside a conversation. Want to tweak your product packaging? Visualize a lifestyle image? Fix lighting, proportions, or even embedded text? Swap out one earring model for another, no problem.

This is the kind of shift that doesn’t just save time—it changes what’s possible. For e-commerce teams, it means:
Rapidly testing creative ideas for ads, packaging, or PDPs
Rapidly generating social media posts at scale
Localizing imagery for new markets in hours, not weeks
But the buzz hasn’t come without some frustrations. Last week, as the internet collectively tried to "Ghiblify" everything—from pets to product photos—server loads spiked. Users began seeing cooldown messages asking them to wait 9 to 30 minutes between renders. In a sense, it was a stress test for demand—and it confirmed what we already suspected: AI image generation is going mainstream, fast.

The creative bottleneck is over—but we’re now entering a new phase: one where the constraint isn’t talent or turnaround, but compute access.
The race just intensified
Brands who win won’t just be the ones using these tools—they’ll be the ones building fast, smart workflows around their limitations.
But let’s be clear: AI hasn’t replaced creative direction. While it can produce impressive visuals, the results often miss the mark on the first try. You end up in rounds of iterative prompting, adjusting style, lighting, angles, and tone until it feels right. That process takes time, context, and judgment.
Even if the AI generates a technically flawless image, it still needs a creative director behind the wheel—someone who understands brand voice, customer psychology, and visual consistency. The role has shifted from creator to conductor. And for many brands, that means leaning on orchestrators, systems thinkers, or done-for-you services that know how to get the most out of these tools—efficiently and on-brand.
If you’d rather outsource than to invest in an internal team, we can help you scale at a fraction of the cost! Reach out to [email protected]. We know what we are doing :)

AmzDesignKit — Your Creative Shortcut for Amazon Listing Inspiration
If you’ve followed George Reid, you know he’s been building one of the most practical creative resources in the Amazon space. What started as a blog of standout A+ examples has evolved into AmzDesignKit—a massive, searchable library of 30,000+ real Amazon design inspirations pulled from top-performing listings.

And now, he’s added something sellers will love: a brand-new Amazon Design Prompt Library for the age of creatives. This community-driven collection of prompts helps you get better outputs from tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Claude—faster. You can even contribute your own favorite prompts.
💡 Why it’s worth checking out:
Huge inspiration library across infographics, video ads, Storefront modules, and more
Prompt Library for faster AI workflows (copy, image prompts, and layout ideas)
Chrome extension to save design ideas straight from Amazon
Figma & Canva ready for easy drag-and-drop customization
Filters that work so you can find what you need without endless scrolling
Whether you’re designing your own creatives or guiding a team, AmzDesignKit is like having a visual playbook—and now, a growing AI prompt vault too. Now you can take any design you like and ask ChatGPT to mimic it. What a great starting point!

OpenAI Projects: Your New AI Workspace
Tired of re-explaining the same context to ChatGPT over and over again? With Projects, it finally remembers what you’re working on—and why.
Projects give you a persistent workspace where your documents, instructions, chat history, and even custom GPTs all live in one place. Instead of starting from scratch every time, you can pick up exactly where you left off—with ChatGPT already briefed and ready to help. It’s not just smarter—it’s scalable.
To create your first Project, click the + icon next to “Projects” in the left pane.

You can even color code them to stay organized.

Take my own AI for E-Commerce Newsletter as an example. I’ve created a Project where ChatGPT remembers:
My writing tone and formatting style
“Always write section headers in H3 and avoid emoji unless requested.”
“Trim for clarity but preserve strategic nuance.”
The structure of my recurring sections
Reference docs like tool reviews, product screenshots, and past issues etc.

Why it matters:
Context that sticks: No more re-explaining your brand, tone, or goals
Reusable workflows: Store prompts and docs for ongoing tasks like ad copy, review mining, or keyword expansion
Collaborative consistency: Use Projects to align outputs across team members or client accounts
Cross-GPT orchestration: Add Custom GPTs to a Project and ChatGPT knows when and how to use them
So how is this different from a Custom GPT?
Think of a Custom GPT as a specialized tool—a pre-trained assistant built for a specific job. Think of a Project as your workspace—the central hub where all your tools, context, and objectives live forever.
If you’re serious about AI productivity, Projects are where things start to scale.

This week Jo Lamadjieva’s post about using ChatGPT for image generation went viral. We asked Jo to give us a step-by-step tutorial of how you can also create cool product images on your own. Here is her quick tutorial in her own words:

“In today's competitive ecommerce landscape, high-quality product images are no longer optional—they're essential. Fortunately, ChatGPT's image editing capabilities now offer sellers a powerful, accessible solution for enhancing product photographs without specialized design skills. Using the GPT-4o model, merchants can quickly upload standard white-background product images and transform them with customized backgrounds, improved lighting, seasonal themes, and branded elements.
The process begins by logging into ChatGPT with your Plus or Enterprise subscription and selecting the powerful GPT-4o model from the dropdown menu. After starting a new chat, simply click the "+" icon in the prompt area to upload your product image—supporting common formats like PNG, JPEG, and non-animated GIF files. This straightforward upload process works perfectly with standard white-background product photos, the kind you might already use for your Amazon listings or other marketplace platforms.
Once your image is uploaded, the real magic happens through descriptive prompts. You can request specific enhancements like "make the product appear more vibrant" or "replace the background with a soft, pastel-colored backdrop." The system allows for iterative improvements—simply review each edited version and refine your requests until the image perfectly matches your vision. This capability is perfect for creating any sort of product-related advertising for any use case, from social media posts and website banners to email campaigns and digital marketplace listings, all without the expense of professional photography services.”
