Claude Artifacts: Your AI-Powered Custom Apps

Whatever is a Claude artifact? Think of Claude artifacts like having a no-code developer on call, someone who instantly builds custom tools as you describe them.

Most people discover artifacts by accident, because Claude suddenly gets into a ‘split screen mode’ where you chat with it on the left side and it is building out something visual and interactive on the right.

Whether it’s a pricing calculator, campaign builder, or audit checklist, Claude turns your prompt into a fully interactive functional tool that you can tweak, reuse, and scale.

For example, here is a fun, spatial word affinity map tool I created. The idea is that you can enter a list of related words and their affinity to a central theme (like ‘cooking’), along with an affinity number - the smaller the affinity number, the closer it is to the central theme. Looks like this…

The output of this tool is a spatial word map. As you can see, it generated a spatial output like this on the fly.

So, this is just an illustrative example to show you what’s possible.

Because Claude artifacts are multi-use, you have two powerful options once you create them:

  • Download them as interactive .html apps that run offline—just click and use, no internet required

  • Publish them on Claude (free on the paid plan) to reuse or share

When to Use Artifacts (The Simple Test)

Ask yourself: "Would I pay someone on Upwork or Fiverr to build a tool for this?"

Use artifacts for:

🔶 Campaign builders and ad generators
🔶 Pricing calculators
🔶 Profit margin tools
🔶 Prompting templates
🔶 Customer persona generators based on inputs
🔶 Supplier evaluation scorecards
🔶 Brand audit checklists based on inputs
🔶 PPC audit based on inputs

The list goes on…

Skip them for:
🔹 Quick facts (“What’s the capital of France?”)
🔹 Casual brainstorming
🔹 Basic summaries

How to Trigger Artifacts (Magic Words That Work)

Instead of:
“How do I improve my conversion rate?”

Try:
“Create a conversion rate optimization checklist for an e-commerce site, broken down by page, with prioritization.”

Power phrases that trigger artifacts:

🔶 “Create an interactive tool that…”
🔶 “Build a calculator for…”
🔶 “Make a timeline for…”
🔶 “Design a template for…”

🚀 Real Example: Build Your Own Campaign Generator

Let’s walk through creating a tool that most e-commerce teams would gladly pay for to shave off hours off their workflows.

I built this Campaign structure generator over the weekend in an hour as I was getting a large number of campaigns ready for Prime day.

Initial Prompt:

Create an Amazon Campaign builder that generates a table with 9 columns:

SKU | Keyword | Campaign Tags | Bid | Budget | Bidding Strategy | TOS Modifier | ROS Modifier | B2B Modifier

Provide input fields for the user to enter their main keywords as a list. Another input field for their branded keywords. Allow them to pick wither these will be B2B or B2C campaigns. Based on their selection, recommend these values for bids, placement modifiers and bidding strategy.

RULES: xyz

What You Get: A live form with drop downs, text inputs, and real-time output. Input “ABC-123, socks, stripes,” select your goals, and Claude returns structured campaigns details

When the user clicks on Generate Campaigns, it creates campaign structures with all the right details based on your predefined logic. I asked it to generate 2 separate sets of branded and non-branded campaigns. It concatenates basic keywords with branded keywords for each SKU in the list. Basically follows all my special rules and logic depending on the what I chose.

The thing is, it can be tested instantly and saves SO MUCH TIME!!!!

The Magic Happens Next:

Your artifact isn’t static. Once you’ve got the shell, ask Claude to do more:

🔶 “Add a section for negative keywords” from an input list
🔶 “Include budget based on product margin” from an input list

and so on…

Why It Matters: You’ve just saved hours and built something repeatable and scalable across your full catalog without ever touching a dev. Hope your creative juices for DIY apps are flowing!

Pro Tips for Better Artifacts

🔶 Be format-specific: Ask for a table or downloadable list
🔶 Add business context: “...for Amazon PPC Managers
🔶 Ask for implementation-ready details:

Bottom Line

Claude artifacts don’t just give you ideas, it gives you executable apps. Custom tools that save time, systematize your work, and scale what you’re already doing well.

📌 Next time you find yourself repeating a task, ask Claude:
“Can you create a tool for this?”

FYI: Claude costs $20/month and has become one of the staple LLMs serious AI power users rely on daily. I’m considering upgrading to the $90 Pro tier. I keep hitting the usage cap.

Old Claude Artifacts, anyone?

By the way, if you created any Claude artifacts last year, you will notice that some of them no longer work. That’s because Claude rearranged their URL structure and didn’t really announce it. Joseph Weiner, one of our readers, shared this artifact that cleans up legacy Claude artifact URLs and maps them to their new URLs. Super helpful.

Warmwind – Agentic AI You Can Actually Use

Last year, Manus took the AI world by storm. It showed us what agentic AI could do, taking action, not just giving answers. You’d give it a goal, and it would plan, build, and execute. But it was built for devs, and most people are still stuck on a 2 million people waitlist. I already forgot I had applied, lol.

Now, there’s Warmwind OS.
Launched this week, Warmwind claims to be an AI Operating System that brings agentic AI to operators and non-technical teams. It creates virtual employees that can see and interact with software like a human, no APIs, no integrations, no code.

Warmwind’s agents mimic human behavior inside any software, including legacy systems or tools without integrations. It’s the first “agent OS” we’ve seen that feels practical for non-technical teams other than Operator from OpenAI that comes with a serious $200 price tag.

Let’s say you need a VA to regularly:

  • Log into Seller Central

  • Navigate to Business Reports

  • Download month-over-month reports

  • Save them to Google Drive or update a master sheet?

Warmwind can probably do that. Just show it once using ‘teaching mode’.

What else? It runs in the cloud, 24/7, and scales instantly.

🤖 So how does it stack up to Manus?

Wait what, GPT5?!

Max Sinclair just dropped some spicy early intel on GPT-5, and if even half of it’s true, we’re in for a serious upgrade!

What’s coming in GPT-5? Unified, multimodal, and seriously powerful. Expect seamless handling of text, images, and audio, the ability to process entire books at once, sharper multi-step reasoning, and agent-like behavior that plans and executes tasks without constant prompting.
