AI for eCommerce Newsletter - 14

Welcome to the 14th edition of the AI for E-Commerce newsletter, your trusted resource for actionable AI strategies in eCommerce, especially on Amazon! We hit 1511 subscribers this week (up a 100 from last week)💥🔥! Thanks for being here. Now let’s go!

We all know that interacting with Amazon Seller Support can be frustrating. What if there was a GPT that could answer your basic questions quickly, without you having to go through all the help files.
Wish granted! This Seller Support Assistant by PPC Ninja will answer your basic questions based on internal help files that were used to train it.
You can ask it questions like:
My image updates aren't being applied, what can I do?
What are product claims I am not allowed to make without documentation?
My ASIN is not in the right category. How can I fix that?
What tax registrations do I need to sell in?
Here is the direct link. Note: You will need a ChatGPT paid plan to use it. Check it out!

For the Cool Tools section today, we are talking about a Text-to-PNG generator called PNGMaker.io.

To use it, simply type up a prompt, like the one I did:

It generates super realistic standalone images on a transparent background. I love this because I can chose to superimpose these images on other images without having to go through any additional steps for background removal.

For comparison, I also tried the exact same prompt with ChatGPT and this is what I got. It’s not bad at all, but I cannot use it right away without some BG removal and editing.

So, how much does PNGMaker.io cost? It’s free for up to 10 images in 24 hours. Sweet!

You heavy users of ChatGPT, this one is for you! Have you ever noticed the Copy icon at the bottom of your ChatGPT chats? If you are generating large documents and want to retain the formatting, then make it a habit of clicking on Copy instead of a browser drag and copy. This will give you a “Markdown” version that retains all formatting.

You can now go into Google Docs, and instead of simply doing a Paste, which is likely to mess up the formatting, right click and choose “Paste from Markdown”. Note, you will need a one time enabling of this feature within Google Docs by going to Tools > Preferences > Enable Markdown.

This will retain all the beautiful formatting, saving you a ton of time!

For the Thought leader section this week we asked our friend Brian Johnson from deepm.ai about his thoughts on RUFUS and how we can prepare. This is what he had to say:
"RUFUS by itself can be helpful to shoppers who are not certain what they’re looking for yet.
Its suggestions can cause a deviation from the original search intent and therefore, since it won’t be reported to the seller, mask the original search intent of the consumer — misleading the brand in to targeting an audience similar, yet not the same as, their original target audience.
RUFUS provides another opportunity for PPC advertising yet lacks the reporting feedback to be insightful.
The real danger coming is using AI (maybe Rufus) to dynamically change listing content to fit a similar narrative to the shopper’s search intent — introducing misleading errors that become content violations by the brand.
In other words — Amazon has failed to vet its content AI thoroughly enough — and will cause pain to sellers.
(At DeepM, we’re testing at each iteration of the RUFUS and dynamic content rollouts to identify opportunities for those brands we advise.)”
